My job as Corporate Secretary/General Counsel obviously has nothing to do with software development project management. But wait, perhaps I have to add that I work for a game development & publishing company, hopefully that could shed some lights about my personal interest on project management. Simple and effective one, that is..:-)

It all started with my experience working for companies which involved in software development, maintenance and support. The common problem is, usually, a development team jumps right away into a project without setting up or agreed upon a certain project management, which is suitable for them.

The result is easily predictable. The development can’t meet the deadline, the shareholders are getting wary and the project manager gets caught up in the middle, confused of what might have gone wrong along the process. This is the very reason why I jumped outside my box, Legal box, that is..:-) and started google on project management that might be suitable for my development team, and that’s when I came across Agile method, in particular SCRUM, which I think is the appropriate one to apply for my team.

The next step is to determine appropriate tool to implement Scrum. There are loads of Scrum-dedicated web site in the internet. I came across this blog, which gave out a list of Scrum tools , with comments and suggestion from the author, which I found very helpful. Here is the link below:

Below is a sample of Burn Down Chart used in Scrum
